Chard Robinson and The Newton shortlisted for 2014-2015 UK Property Awards
Chard Robinson has won an award in the 2014-15 UK Property Awards’ Residential Development category for Cambridgeshire with The Newton.
The Newton is an exciting new development on Humberstone Road, comprising 23 contemporary one-bedroom and studio apartments for students. Occupying the site of the former Fleur De Lys pub, Chard Robinson was shortlisted after demonstrating commitment to superlative design, sustainability, environmental impact and the use of technology in The Newton’s construction.
The 2014-2015 UK Property Awards - sponsored by Gaggenau and in association with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars - will be hosted on 24th October 2014 at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square in London. There, Chard Robinson will learn whether The Newton has been either highly commended or awarded the coveted five-stars for excellence. The highest scoring five-star winners from each category of the UK Property Awards will be automatically put forward for re-judging against winners at the same level in other regions of the world – Africa, Asia Pacific, Arabia, Canada, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe and USA. Following this re-assessment, the 2014 International winners in each category will be identified as the ‘World’s Best’. These winners will be announced at the grand final gala presentation dinner dance at the Jumeirah Madinat in Dubai on Thursday, December 4th, 2014.
Sonia Mison, spokesperson for the 2014-15 UK Property Awards, said: "The objective of these awards is to recognise excellence in the property industry worldwide and to promote an international standard. Please accept my congratulations to your whole team for the splendid efforts made in order to achieve this success."
Company director Stephen Chard added: "We are delighted that The Newton has been recognised at this level by the judging panel of the 2014-15 UK Property Awards. It is testament to the achievements of every member of our team.
"Our objective at Chard Robinson is to create intelligent, energy-efficient and highly desirable properties for both current and future generations. The outcome of our work on this project exemplifies each of our core values as considerate developers."
