Encore has won a tender to take over the management of Vie, Cambridge.
This comes following a successful bid by Vie's RMC to remove the previous agent after several years of poor service provision and under-budgeting.
Built by Redeham Homes in 2008, the prestigious riverside development totals some 200 units, and includes a mixture of apartments, townhouses and housing association blocks. Encore was selected to take control of the development thanks to a strong management and budget proposal, proactive solutions to counter existing problems, and its overall strength of reputation.
Director Stephen Chard said: "Encore is proud to be working with the residents at Vie. It is disappointing to see that our industry still throws up examples of bad practice, and Encore continues to lobby for greater regulation of estate and block management companies."
He continues: "Encore is well-equipped to take over a site of this size, and the areas that need our immediate attention play to our strengths. We have an in-house team of dedicated caretakers who'll be looking after the development specifically. We believe firmly that if you want a job doing, you should do it yourself, and that's exactly how we work. We don't outsource as a rule, which means we react quickly and can - with Vie a distinct case in point - take control, improve service provision and then go on to maintain those standards consistently.
If your current managing agent is slow off the mark, switch to Encore. Contact Duncan Johnson on 01223 866980 or email duncan.johnson@encoreestates.co.uk to discuss your requirements.
